Opening Our Homes to Adorn the Gospel

Here are three excellent articles on hospitality, one from 9Marks and two from CBMW, explaining how opening our homes not only is commanded by the Gospel but is, more than that, commending of the Gospel.  True hospitality explains the Savior who, because of His great love with which He loved us, goes out of His way to bring in those who can repay Him nothing at all (see Luke 14 for more).

Think, enjoy, and apply liberally.

UPDATE: David Mathis at Desiring God reminds us that Romans 12:13 says “seek hospitality.”  Don’t just allow it.

Thank the Lord for the Scriptures to lead you and your wife to write those articles! I was certainly encouraged and hope that my readers (all three of them) are as well.
