Learning Greek Together

I’ve been so encouraged the last two weeks by the group of men in our church who are joining together to learn New Testament Greek.  So you want to do the same?  Here’s four easy steps:

  1. Get a good book.  We’re using Dave Black’s, but there are several good ones.
  2. Do the homework.  You just can’t skip it – not in language learning, and not in much else.
  3. Get together to talk about it.  There’s no substitute for godly fellowship and encouragement over the Bible.
  4. Start reading whatever you can.  It won’t be much at first, but read whatever passages you can understand and even some that you don’t.
  5. Persevere.  Keep on trucking on.  Don’t give up – God will reward your efforts in His chosen language.
