What a blessing your site is. Really appreciate the care you have taken with all that things I have been able to read thus far (it’s late, couldn’t sleep, stumbled on to your site, and now you are keeping me up). Found you trying to figure out where Michael Gungor landed on the theological landscape, had some ideas based off of terminology so I wanted to look into it. Appreciated the grace in which you two interacted. Your stalemate was predictable. Keep your face “set like flint”. Continue to speak the truth in love and humility. Thankful and refreshed by your boldness and confidence even discussing the more “difficult” topics. Hope this is encouraging, I’ll be back, gonna recommend your site. Grace and peace to you in the Lord Jesus Christ and may he bless and keep you and your family.

Thanks for all of that, Josh. I really appreciate it. The Gungor exchange really helped me think through justification by grace through faith, but you’re right – he probably hasn’t changed. I would watch out for that in his music, an obsession with deeds and “new creation” type stuff without the gospel. An artist who does the balance well, I think, is Andrew Peterson, among others.

Anyway, lots of stuff on here is older now, but after this transitional season I should be writing more again. Keep in touch and thanks again,
